Ericsson’s internal magazine has been nominated for Guldbladet

JG Communication produces Ericsson’s internal magazine, Kontakten (in Swedish) and Contact magazine (in English). Kontakten has now been nominated for a 2012 Guldbladet award in the category for Best Employee/Internal Magazine.
Guldbladet is an industry competition organized by the Swedish Association of Custom Publishers (Sveriges Uppdragspublicister) to recognize the best Swedish content marketing and editorial communication. The winners will be presented at an awards ceremony on May 15 at Berns in Stockholm.

Kontakten – an essential part of Ericsson’s integrated communication
Ericsson takes an integrated approach to ensure that it can best meet internal communication needs in relation to its global news flow. In addition to Kontakten/Contact magazine, JG Communication is responsible for Ericsson’s intranet, Contact Online; the electronic Contact Newsletter; and the Contact Play video channel.
Jenz Nilsson, Project Manager and Editor at JG Communication, on the content of Kontakten/Contact magazine:
“In today’s society, it’s easy to find plenty of ways that ICT and telecom improve people’s lives. But simply using Ericsson’s representatives to talk about these benefits isn’t a good way to reach our readers. That’s why we on the editorial staff are spending more and more time looking for the people who are actually affected by the technology – whether they’re parents of small children; teachers; government employees; or small-business owners. We ask them to tell us how things like wireless internet connections or different kinds of apps help them save time, energy and money. But sometimes they also let us know what doesn’t work well for them and what they want to see more of. In all communication, I think it’s vital to make sure that your audience can identify with what’s being discussed, and I think we’ve done a really good job of ensuring that our readers can relate to what we publish in the magazine.”
Kontakten/Contact magazine is published six times a year. In 2011, the combined print run for the two editions reached 65,000 copies. Learn more about Contact magazine.

About Guldbladet
The Guldbladet competition is being held for the 12th consecutive year, and there have never been as many nominations as this year. A total of 381 contributions have been received – an increase of 12 percent since 2011, which was itself a record year.
